Ok kids let me tell you one of many wild stories from my twenty one pilots show yesterday:
So I’m there, at the front of the line, dressed up as Tyler from the stressed out music video. I’ve got a complex layering system of shorts, tights and socks to create his pants. I’ve got my paint on. And I pick up my buddy’s sunglasses and decide to put them on.
People are exclaiming that I look like Tyler. After a few photos, someone suggests that I go around the corner and prank the people further down the line.
One of my newfound line friends picks up a uke and hands it to me. I tuck my fringe into my beanie. Me, Maria and Riley (pictured) get up and walk around the building to approach the back of the line from behind. And we casually walk down the street.
A group screams ‘Tyler!’ And is freaking out, they’ve seen me from a distance at first glance, they think I’m him. They realize I’m not and stop yelling. I get dozens of double takes. Someone yells ‘A+’ to me and starts yelling to their friend. I’m just continuing to walk, i return to my spot, feeling pumped. And that’s how for a few seconds, sizeable groups of people thought I was Tyler Joseph.
